Checking in with you

In March and September each year, we invite you to answer some questions about your family, school and support services. Your voice is important to us!

We share information about how to complete this activity in the March and September editions of My News. The activity itself is completed via My Smith Family.

Checking in with you every 6 months helps us better support you and other families and students on our Learning for Life program.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts in 2024. We hope to hear from more of you next time.

What you told us

The percentages show how many families rated themselves 7 or above out of 10 for the following statements:
“I feel like I have a voice. I didn’t know that I could ask for help. I will be making contact shortly to ask what can be done.”
"I liked it because it made me more confident and understanding that I can do things like this if I or my child need help."
"It is easy to fill, not time consuming and lets you understand our needs more."

This information helps us:

  • Understand that new families' relationships with us are different from those of families who have been on the Learning for Life program for a year or more.

  • Find out that many families feel confident in contacting the school or The Smith Family for support.

  • Consider how we can further support families to find and access help if needed.

Your feedback is important to us. Over time, it helps us understand what’s working, what isn’t, and how we can change and adapt to better support your family.

We are here for you!

Your Family Partnership Coordinator is here to support you through each stage of your child's educational journey.
