  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.

Raise awareness and advocate for others

With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.

Through their networks in local communities, VIEW members help to spread the message about disadvantage in Australia and the importance of long-term education support in helping a child break the cycle of disadvantage.

VIEW members connect with local Members of Parliament, build relationships with local media outlets and find ways for women to have their voices heard on issues of importance for the future wellbeing of Australians, and in particular women and the community.

The extensive reach of VIEW also helps to build the profile of The Smith Family in areas where the organisation may not have a presence. This is vital in increasing support for the work of The Smith Family and helping to raise funds.

Through VIEW's unique Resolutions process, members collectively identify and articulate issues that are considered important for influencing social change in Australia. Publicity activities, including holding local information stalls and connecting with local media, provide opportunities to speak up about these issues of importance.

Walk with VIEW

One of the most successful ways to raise the profile of your VIEW Club in your local area is to hold a Walk with VIEW.

This is a simple and fun activity that's easy to organise - and good for your health!

It can also be a good way to promote your club's involvement and connection to The Smith Family and support for disadvantaged students.

Walk with VIEW is a walking event along a prominent route in your local area to help raise your club's profile. You can promote your Walk with VIEW to your members and members of surrounding VIEW Clubs - as well as family, friends and the general public. The more people you can get involved, the more attention you will attract.

To get even more attention, you may consider wearing VIEW t-shirts or carrying branded balloons, banners and flags.

Many clubs also hold an information stand or fundraising stall at the end of the walk to help spread the message about VIEW Clubs and your work to the local community.
