Indigenous Youth Leadership Program
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who live in remote areas of Australia.
It supports them to attend good high schools or universities and finish Year 12 or a university degree.
In 2022, The Smith Family supported 271 students through this program.
The program helps students to:
- Develop leadership skills.
- Achieve their personal, school, and job goals.
- Explore educational opportunities and meet role models.
The IYLP gave me the opportunity to study at a prestigious school and the support and guidance to achieve well in the academic and sporting arenas.
