Get Involved
- Volunteer
  As a VIEW member there are many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills to directly help and support The Smith Family and disadvantaged Australian children and their families.
- Fundraise
  VIEW members raise over $1.1 million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1,650+ Learning for Life students.
- Raise awareness and advocate
  With more than 300 clubs around Australia involving some 14,000 women from all walks of life, the collective voice of VIEW is an important aspect of the organsation's work.
- Sponsor a disadvantaged student
  Learning for Life sponsorship provides disadvantaged students with financial assistance, emotional support and access to learning and educational programs.
- Partner with VIEW
  VIEW is proud to have a wide range of community partners that support our fundraising efforts and the work of The Smith Family. We would like to thank the following companies for their ongoing support.

About Convention

We are pleased to announce the 57th VIEW National Convention is being held in Brisbane, QLD from 5-7 September 2025.

National Convention is conducted over 3 days, Friday to Sunday, and provides VIEW members, their friends and others interested in attending with:

An opportunity to hear from prominent speakers on a broad range of topics;
A forum for debating issues of national importance;
An ability to hear about the achievements of VIEW and their work within communities.
An opportunity for members to celebrate their contribution to supporting the education of disadvantaged Australian children
Plus much, much more……

VIEW’s approach to booking national convention events

VIEW Clubs is part of The Smith Family, a registered charity and not for profit organisation, and aims to host a National Convention event every two years for VIEW members and their friends:

To hear about the achievements of VIEW and The Smith Family, and return to their clubs inspired to continue their good work within their communities.
For members to celebrate their contribution to the work of VIEW as a valued part of The Smith Family
To hear from prominent speakers on a broad range of topics
To come together socially to enjoy events
We aim to offer our delegates, who pay to attend, an exciting, fun and innovative program.

The VIEW National Convention does not seek to run at a profit and is operated on a tight budget. It is based around conducting break-even events and keeping prices as low as possible so all members can attend.

The viability of this National Convention now and into the future relies on members and friends exercising their goodwill and booking for the two Convention Day events or at least one Convention Day event and not just attending the social events. If all members booked to attend the social events we would not have a National Convention.

It is also not in the spirit of VIEW to just attend a social event. This has been our practice for many years and is a shared understanding for VIEW members and regular VIEW National Convention attendees.

We ask all members and their friends to book at least one Convention Day in addition to booking for any social events, to ensure the sustainability of our National Convention now and into the future.

We open registration early giving members time to arrange their budgets enabling them to attend this special national event.

One reason for holding VIEW National Convention in a different State or regional location every two years also assists members budgeting for the event. Those that live in the State eg Qld, obviously do not need to travel interstate to attend this year.

How to book

Convention registrations are to be booked through OzAccom+. A registration fee of $25.00 for members and non-members is applicable for every registration, regardless of the number of events attended.

All members and non-members must submit their Registration Form to OzAccom+, not VIEW National Office.

Clubs may choose to book together or members may book individually, as long as there is a unique registration form for each attendee. Club Booking Coordinators are advised to photocopy all information for each member registering, and send a club cheque along with Club Registrations to OzAccom+.

Shake Rattle n’ Roll

Nothing is too sparkly and nothing is too daring!

It’s now or never, put on your dancing shoes to rock around the clock! The coolest event this side of ELVIS! Come along to our rock ‘n roll dance night. Remember the days when jukeboxes played 45’s, and your heart skipped a beat with every chord? Well, that’s our soundtrack – from Buddy Holly to Bill Haley. Our time capsule awaits for us to be party dolls in polka dots and bobbie socks where poodle skirts and petticoats spin, ponytails bob and the spirit of rock and roll lives forever. It’s going to be hotter than a vinyl record on a jukebox.

Held across the river a short distance away at the Royal on the Park.

Saturday 6 September - Convention Day 2 - Voice of VIEW and Writer’s Festival

Our Resolutions debate returns where you can watch the debate and participate by voting on matters of national importance and the “Writers’ Festival” is back with a diverse cast of interesting and entertaining writers, readers and thinkers coming together to enjoy a lively line up of a panel discussion facilitated by a local personality.

Gala Dinner – Black, Gold and Bold

A night when two of the most timeless, versatile and luxurious hues on the colour spectrum Black and Gold pair up with Bold for a bit of courageous confidence and fearless fun!

Join us for a Gala night of stylish extravagance and rich indulgence – think great live music and entertainment.
