Learning for Life student, Jessica, is currently studying a Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts at Newcastle University and hopes one day to pass on her love of music by becoming a music teacher. Jessica said the support that she has been given by The Smith Family Learning for Life program has meant so much to both her and her mother as it enabled her to buy school essentials and took a great deal of pressure off her mother as so much work went on behind the scenes to help her achieve her dreams to keep music in her life. She has also joined the i-track program helping other students to achieve their goals. Jessica thanked all those involved with the Learning for Life program and for giving her the opportunity to speak today.
Both Leah Anderson and Kate Washington thanked The Smith Family and VIEW Clubs of Australia for the wonderful work being done through the Learning for Life program supporting disadvantaged Australian children with their education.
