Brendale Evening VIEW Club

Members of Brendale Evening VIEW Club attended the January dinner meeting for the annual 2025 AGM. At this meeting the nominations for positions were excepted and the 2025 Committee was congratulated by the members.

The new committee members are, Suzanne W. as President, Helen H. as Vice President, Lynne W. as Secretary, Assistant Secretary Margaret H., Jill G. as Treasurer, Lorraine F. Assistant Treasurer, Shayne H. as Delegate, Judy Q. and Anne B. as Program Officers and Barbara L. as Publicity Officer.

Members of Brendale Evening VIEW gathered together to start the new year off with a coffee and a chat at the Bracken Ridge Hotel. Many holiday stories were exchanged.

Fran W. came along all set to start the new year off in style on her electric bike and all geared up in slip, slop mode. Well done Fran.

Club Secretary Shayne H and Vice President Helen H celebrated the festive season by putting on their Santa hats and smiles for a Framed Christmas Photo.

As September is the start of Spring and it is shaping up to be another successful month of fundraising and social events for Members of our Club.

It was all hands-on deck for our Club's Fashion Parade held at the Aspley Hornets. All the attendees were involved in fun, laughter, Cent Auctions and Raffles, and a great day was had by all.

Our Club Committee put on a morning tea to celebrate new Members, who took the opportunity to introduce themselves to each other and share with us all their individual life stories and why they decided to join VIEW.   It was soon noticed that the Key message with all the new Members was to make a difference in a Child’s Education.

The new Members Lynne W, Helen S, Sue P, Carmel, Jill G, Helen Z, Anne B and Baldish R. can be seen in the accompanying photo.

Club Members came along to the July dinner meeting all rugged up in their beanies and scarves to brave the night's winter chill.

Three of the brave Members enjoying the night were Margaret H, Gwen S and Denise c. 

Our guest speaker for the night was Spencer Howson. Spencer spoke about his life after ABC. It was a night filled with fun and Laughter. 

Members were thrilled to welcome new Members Helen and Anne. Helen and Anne were greeted at the door by Hostess, Gerry.  During the evening President Suzanne congratulated them both as she presented Helen and Anne with their View Badges and New Members Information Packs.
