Buderim Volunteer Awards 2023

At the recent Buderim Volunteer Awards for 2023, our club received a certificate of recognition for the contribution we make to our community. It was most rewarding that the BWMCA together with Brent Mickelberg, Member for Buderim, acknowledged the efforts of our club to provide and sustain a club for women of our community . . . where friendships are fostered and women have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our peers, community, and above all the lives of disadvantaged Australian students.

As well Jenny, one of our members, earned the honour of Volunteer of the Year 2023 for her many years on committee.

October 2023 Fashions

Our planning committee put on a very successful fashion parade in October. Friends Boutique of Buderim provided the fashions and generously donated their time, expertise and a voucher to add to the many raffle prizes.

Seventy women attended the high tea and parade held in the Function Room at the Buderim Tavern. It was an enjoyable afternoon and a great boost to the sponsorships of our eight Learning For Life students through The Smith Family charity.
