Southport Day VIEW Club

About

Southport Day VIEW Club was formed in 1987.

Currently, the Club sponsors twenty three Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.

We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Location

  • When: Meeting Day on 3rd Wednesday each month
  • Time: At 11.30am for 12.00pm
  • Where: Southport Yacht Club
  • : Please join us for a Social Lunch Day on the 1st Wednesday of the month

Meet Our 2024 Committee

Members held our Club's first meeting for the  year, which was also the Annual General Meeting, and attended by seventy-eight Members.  Zone Councillor for QC01  Dianne officiated the AGM welcoming our new Committee for 2024, consisting of 13 Members .

Another informative day at our November meeting, with Guest Speaker, Sandra Hardie,, a Alchemist,Wellness Coach  and  Author. She was very Informative, and easy to listen too. She makes her own Products, Calm/Freedom & Nourish, for Wellness and they smell divine.

More than 80 Members and guests attended the day.

October 2023 Fashions

A magnificent 85 Members and guests attended our October luncheon, which included a Fashionable Trade-Ins Sale. Members donated clothing, shoes and  accessories to be sold with all proceeds going to the Learning for Life Student Sponsorship. We raised over $650.

Learning about Puppetry in August 2023

At the August luncheon 83 Members and guests enjoyed listening to guest speaker  Phil Bell, from Queensland Theatre of Puppetry.

 He was very Interesting, telling us how he writes the shows and the Children work the Muppet/Puppets. All money raised goes to the Gold Coast University Hospital Foundation for Equipment for the Children's Ward.
