Leopold VIEW Club

About

Leopold VIEW Club was formed in 2023.

The Leopold VIEW Club sponsors four students two primary and two secondary and donated literacy and other packages to the Smith Family throughout the year.

We now have 55 members who actively support the club to raise funds and attend our regular social events, we are a friendly, relaxed and happy club with a welcoming atmosphere.

At our monthly meetings we have interesting guest speakers, celebrations, music and occasionally quizzes. Members also attend our Book Club, Lunch Club and Coffee Club and outings to cement social connectedness and to have fun.

We welcome new members and are happy to host guests at our meetings, please feel free to contact us and come along to see what we are all about.

We celebrated our second birthday in March with a large group of members and guests with music provided by member June Fraser and her husband Colin.

Making A Difference Award

This was awarded to Julie English an inaugural member of the Committee who embodies al the values of VIEW and has worked as a project officer and organises the very well attended Book Club even while ill health has made this difficult for her. Congratulations Julie.

Book Signing Outing in 2024

After a delightful lunch in Ocean Grove a group of members went to the Bookgrove Book shop to meet Graeme Simsion and Anne Buist authors of the novel The Class House.  This was part of their The Australian Bookshop Tour to raise awareness of Mental Health issues.
