Read more about our research

Robust, in-depth research and evidence-based practice underpins all our work.

Every child deserves the chance to fulfil their potential. That’s why our expert research is conducted with a clear objective: to guide and inform our programs so that we can better support young people throughout their education – ensuring they have the opportunities every child deserves to pursue further study after school.

Research and evaluation help us to measure the outcomes and assess the effectiveness of our support and programs. Evaluation and regular reporting also drive continual improvement across the organisation.

This also enables us to be innovative, responsive, and relevant. It ensures we develop and deliver programs and support that respond effectively and efficiently to the evolving needs of the children, young people, families, and communities we help.

Research and advocacy

We advocate for change on behalf of all children and young people experiencing disadvantage.

Our advocacy work closely relates to the research we undertake and our work directly supporting children so they can get the most from their education.

Whether it’s a submission to government on education reform, or a report about the impact of sporting and cultural opportunities on a child’s development, we actively advocate on behalf of children and young people who are experiencing disadvantage, to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs met.
