The women of VIEW
I joined VIEW because I loved the idea of supporting the young students who are so willing but, for no fault of their own, are unable to follow their dreams.
VIEW Clubs were formed in 1960 by the then General Secretary of The Smith Family, George Forbes, who saw the potential for an organisation which allowed women to support one another in friendship while also contributing to their community through the work of The Smith Family.
Today, VIEW has over 14,000 members in 300 clubs throughout Australia and is the largest community sponsor of over 1,700 students experiencing disadvantage on our Learning for Life program. VIEW members also dedicate more than 70,000 volunteer hours each year to The Smith Family.
“We are proud to be contributing to long term benefits that allow students experiencing disadvantage to make the most of their education and their futures,” says 2022-23 National President, Marg Woodhouse.
