My dream is to teach in rural and remote communities. I want to bridge the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous children, to give kids the resources they require to achieve their own dreams, like what my own family and The Smith Family did for me.
Teddy is a proud Kamilaroi woman who wants to be a high school teacher out of respect and gratitude for her own teachers. She dreams of working in rural and remote communities.
Our Tertiary student Teddy is the first in her family to go to university, and now she wants to help others.
Teddy is in her second year at Macquarie University where she is studying for a Bachelor of Arts and Education, with a major in English. She’s a proud Indigenous woman from Wagga Wagga in NSW.
As the eldest of seven children Teddy is very grateful for the support of her education that’s allowed her to follow her dreams.
Teddy and our CEO Doug Taylor were featured speakers at a recent event at Admiralty House in Sydney to mark The Smith Family’s Centenary.
