Sponsorship gave Tom more people in his corner

It’s a wonderful thing to see a child thrive at school and go on to pursue their dreams. It’s a privilege that’s often only shared by family and carers. But 20-year-old Tom has more people cheering him on.

Tom’s sponsor has been with him throughout his education. Not only did sponsorship provide Tom with the school essentials, it also meant he could join his class mates on excursions. Being included played a huge role in helping Tom to make friends and build his confidence, something he struggled with due to having high functioning autism.

And for 14 years, Tom’s Smith Family Learning for Life Coordinator, Judy, has been there to support him every step of the way.
