Brimbank Communities for Children Facilitating Partner

The Smith Family has been the Facilitating Partner for the Australian Government’s Brimbank Region Communities for Children Facilitating Partner (CfC FP) since 2005. We facilitate the delivery of a range of services designed to improve outcomes for children from 0 to 12 years old and their families within the local community. By taking a place-based and 'whole of community' approach, Brimbank CfC FP aims to help build a strong community that is inclusive and supportive of all families living in Brimbank Local Government Area.

Brimbank CfC FP operates within an area of approximately 20 kilometres from Melbourne CBD and covers the suburbs of Ardeer, Albion, Cairnlea, Sunshine North, Sunshine West, Sunshine, St Albans, Deer Park, Derrimut and Sydenham.

Brimbank CfC Objectives

Brimbank children are safe and thriving in healthy families and participating in a vibrant, diverse and welcoming community.

The Community Strategic Plan for Brimbank CfC FP provides the roadmap for the development and implementation of the initiative for the period 2022-2026.

Learning and Developing - Children and families have everything they need to develop, learn and grow, with access to opportunities to be their best.
Healthy and Safe - Children and families are supported to be healthy, active and safe at home and in the community.
