Scam alert: Fake Facebook posts offering loans through The Smith Family
This morning (Friday 12 July 2024) children’s education charity, The Smith Family discovered there is a Facebook page, called The Smith Family Loans and posts from The Smith Family Loans purporting to be from The Smith Family which offer interest-free loans.
THIS IS A SCAM.
The Smith Family does not provide loans of any sort to anyone. The Smith Family is an Australian charity whose work relates to supporting the educational outcomes of children experiencing disadvantage.
We have contacted Facebook and asked that the fake Smith Family Facebook page be removed and for the scam posts activity to be investigated.
If you see a Facebook post offering the public financial loans through The Smith Family or with the name The Smith Family Loans, DO NOT CLICK ON THEM OR ENGAGE in any way.
