Sponsored student Sang — Learning for Life student, Sang

Sang grew up in a single parent migrant family with no one in his circle to turn to for advice about university, studying and getting a job in the solar energy sector. He credits Gavin for helping him stay motivated and obtain relevant industry experience, Sang recently graduated from university and started his first full time job.

"When I was studying at uni, there was no one to talk to who [had] studied engineering or who's working, so if I needed help," Sang explains.

The pair would talk whenever Sang needed help or advice. Gavin helped Sang with assignments and provided advice on subject choices and career options. Gavin's guidance on preparing for interviews and his industry connections were crucial in helping Sang reach his goal of working in the solar industry.
