Retired teacher Judith is still supporting the education of disadvantaged kids
After seeing the impact of disadvantage in her own classrooms when she was a primary school teacher, Judith decided to become a child sponsor and also leave a life-changing gift in her Will.
Disadvantaged students can miss out tremendously. People talk about ‘free education’, but even in the state-run schools it’s not free. There are school fees to pay that provide all of your learning materials, art materials and so on,” said Judith.
After speaking to tertiary students at our 2016 Learning for Life student graduation ceremony, she realised just how effective long-term sponsorship is.
